But what do you think of her detox diet? It's not unlike what I eat every day, minus the exclusion of alcohol.
C'mon. Who can get through a day without a glass of red promised at the end of it?
It explains a lot about ol' Goopy.

I'm not sure how to feel about this. Generally speaking, I cringe when I hear the term "detox" because I think that gives people the impression that the body is a plastic container that can be flushed out once or twice a year using restrictive eating and be considered "cleansed". I know you know better, dear Farty one, but many people are very impressionable.
Also, with normal people, the bowel does its job and does not need to be thundered along with flushtastic foods and gallons of liquid. Of course, that's not so for those with certain health issues... IBS anyone?... but their intake adjustments don't end after a "7 day elimination diet".
Also, I absolutely HATE this sentence: "I will be suffering along with you to kickstart my year a bit lighter." Suffering? What is with these people who simply MUST consider suffering a necessary step toward good health? That attitude galls the HELL out of me and I STOMP on it!! *stomp stomp*!!
But, to the point, I think some of the (vegetarian) foods she lists sound healthy and delicious... but the "meals" don't look like they contain enough energy to get anyone through the day - nothing but lemon water until 10 AM? My head would be spinning.
*hugs*
PS - Guess who discovered today that the Easton Wegmans now has EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN that I have EVER wanted to purchase in an expanded vegan/specialty foods section?? Oh yes indeed - and garbanzo bean flour? 3 different kinds, at least. Jackpot!!!
