Yesterday I was sitting in the grass, waiting for one of my favorite markets to open. With the sun shining and nothing else to do, I decided to dump out my bag and take pictures of my stuff.
This is what I carry with me every day.
A. Desert Essence Dry by Nature
I prefer to make my own deodorant. But this brand works really well. I like having a deodorant to take along with me. Recently, a customer at work told me that DE uses Propylene Glycol, which is bad news bears. Next, I plan to move onto one that is PG free.B. Avalon Organics Lavender Deodorant Spray
C. and D. Tinctures
Herb Pharm's Good Mood Tonic
Gaia's Echinacea and Goldenseal
My work pals suggested this to me for my allergies. I'm definitely still sniffly. But I can function, which is saying something. Usually allergies turn my nose into a faucet and sneeze machine!Herb Pharm's Good Mood Tonic
I bought this last month when the boyfriend and I were broken up. It really helped quell my sadness. I felt the difference almost instantly!
Gaia's Echinacea and Goldenseal
This is to keep my immune system strong. Last night, I had all the guys at the bar putting it in their beers. It's almost gone now. But totally worth the laugh.
BioAllers Tree PollenE. Earplugs
G. fartpod
I'm a writer. I'm always writing. Earplugs are NECESSARY for writing. They are also necessary because I date boys who snore!
F. Yes to Carrots Lip Gloss
My BFF of 25 years and I have the same problem. We can never find lip gloss that we like. Since I found Yes to Carrots? Problem solved. Look!
G. fartpod
In class one day, my favorite yoga teacher asked us what inspires us. I said music. Music makes me move. My feet go. My skin pimples with excitement. All I feel is energy. Favorite workout songs? This and this.
H. & I. Tree Necklace & Mint Box
My pal Meech made the necklace. Inside the mint box goes hair ties, barrettes, buttons popped off and more earplugs. I can never be too prepared!
What does this have to do with IBS?
All the time Telpner reminds us in her blog - the skin is the largest organ of the body. When we put chemicals on our skin, it seeps into our bodies. What we put on our skin definitely affects our tummies. Everything is connected! Here's another Telpner love that I finally got the chance to taste...

Aloe!!!
Jello-y chunks of it in coconut water!!!
New favorite summer drink.
So refreshing.
My stomach LOVES IT.
What else?
I'm knee-deep in the mess of a three-part master IBS post. I'm working here, here, and here. I'm freelancing, trying to finish a screenplay...
Life is busy, but GOOD.
Now - your turn!
What are some of your favorite things?

Cute post. Thanks for sharing your faves.
I usually don't go anywhere without my camera, Nivea and snacks. There's usually Vaseline hiding in the bottom of my purse too.
Oh yeah, and a cloth to clean my eyeglasses -- don't know what it's officially called...
Hmmm what I do I have all the time! Lip smackers
I always carry water and a book and my keys...
My favorite things? Old books - books from the 20s, 30s, 40s... they read like old movies. Oatmeal with raisins, applesauce, and homemade walnut butter. Bedtime. Hugs from the kids. Great little crockery bowls that make my food look more enticing.
Couple of questions, my fellow farter: Have your read up on the risks of aloe vera juice? And what do you think? It's sounds scary though the benefits sound LOVELY! And, can I use the scoby with herbal tea? I don't do any others...
